A Very Cottage Christmas
The holidays can get busy fast, so my good friend, Debbie from MadameStitch, and I wanted to give you something peaceful and creative to look forward to โ a cozy little crochet event weโre calling A Very Cottage Christmas.

A Very Cottage Christmas Crochet Event
I am so excited to finally share this with you โ A Very Cottage Christmas, a cozy crochet event that Iโm hosting together with my sweet friend Debbie from MadameStitch!
We wanted to create something simple, festive, and heartwarming to celebrate the holiday season โ something that would bring a touch of handmade charm to your home without adding stress or extra expense during an already busy time of year.
And thatโs exactly how A Very Cottage Christmas came to life.

What Is โA Very Cottage Christmasโ?
This is a free crochet event where weโll be making a Christmas garland out of granny squares. But donโt worry โ this isnโt the kind of project that will take over your December! We designed it to feel like a little crochet advent, where you can enjoy short, relaxing bursts of creativity throughout the first part of the month.
There are 6 squares total, with one new square released every other day for the first 12 days of December. Debbie and I each designed three of them โ Debbieโs will be released on her blog for the first half of the event, and mine will be shared here for the second half.
When all your squares are finished, you can string them together into a garland thatโs festive enough for Christmas but cozy enough to leave up all winter long.

About the Design
For my version, I used traditional reds and greens but added a couple of softer, non-Christmasy colors so it fits right in with my regular decor. That way, I can keep it hanging long after the holiday lights come down.

The best part? You donโt need a lot of yarn or time. We know the holiday season can be hectic (and expensive), so we intentionally kept each square small and manageable โ perfect for an evening of quiet crochet time with a cup of tea or cocoa by your side.
This event is really about slowing down, savoring the season, and giving yourself that little bit of โme timeโ we all need.
A Little Bonus Treat ๐
We couldnโt resist adding something extra special! Alongside the 6 free squares for the event, weโve also created 4 bonus squares that are only available in our A Very Cottage Christmas Ebook.
The ebook includes:
โจ All 10 squares (the 6 free + 4 bonus designs)
๐ A project planner to keep you organized
๐จ Coloring pages for each square
๐ A fun, crochet-themed word search!
Itโs the perfect companion to the event and a sweet keepsake to revisit next year.
