*Yo, insert hook into st, yo, pull up loop, [yo, insert hook into same st, yo, pull up loop] 2 times (7 loops on hook), yo, pull through 6 loops, yo, pull through last 2 loops**, ch 2, rep from * to ** one time.

Double Crochet Decrease (dc dec)

Yo, insert hook into next st, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through 2 loops, yo, insert hook into next st, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through 2 loops (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through all 3 loops.

Single Crochet Decrease (sc dec)

Insert hook in next st, yo, pull up loop, insert hook in ch-1 sp, yo, pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through all 3 loops.

Gauge

At the end of Round 2, it should measure 2.5″ across.

Pattern Instructions for the Crochet Harvest Bauble

Make a magic circle. Ch 2.

Round 1: work 10 dc in circle, join with a sl st to the first st, ch 2. (10 dc)

Round 2: work 2 dc in first st, *harvest st in next st, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around, harvest st in last st, join with a sl st to the first st, ch 2. (10 dc, 5 harvest sts)

Round 3: work 2 dc in first st, 1 dc in next st, [harvest st in ch-2 sp, 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next st], repeat from [ to ] around, harvest st in last ch-2 sp, join with a sl st to the first st, ch 2. (15 dc, 5 harvest sts)

Round 4: work 2 dc in first st, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts, [ harvest st in ch-2 sp, 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts], repeat from [ to ] around, harvest st in last ch-2 sp, join with a sl st to the first st, ch 2. (20 dc, 5 harvest sts)

Round 5: [work 1 dc in each of next 4 sts, harvest st in next ch-2 sp], repeat from [ to ] around, join with a sl st to the first st, ch 2. (20 dc, 5 harvest sts)

Round 6: [Dc dec] 2 times, harvest st in next ch-2 sp, repeat from [ to ] around, join with a sl st to the first st, ch 2. (10 dc dec, 5 harvest sts)

*Now you can insert your bauble into the cover. We will be working the remaining rounds with the bauble inside.
