A few years ago, I found myself searching high and low for the perfect heart pattern. I wanted something with a classic shape—rounded curves and a sharp, defined tip—but none of the patterns I tried quite fit the bill. So, I did what any determined crocheter would do: I designed my own!

A Heart in the Snow

The first time I shared my heart pattern tutorial, I was living in a tent in the woods. Life was simple but beautiful, and I spent a lot of time surrounded by nature. When it came time to film the tutorial, I thought, why not take the camera outside? So, I bundled up, set up my tripod in the snow, and recorded the step-by-step process right there in the crisp winter air.

There’s something magical about crafting in nature—especially in the snow. The pure white backdrop made the yarn colors pop, and the whole experience felt like a little Valentine’s Day gift to myself. To this day, that heart pattern holds a special place in my crochet journey.
