CROCHET WINE GLASS HOLDER
I love a good glass of wine, however, I LOVE making my glass look pretty too.
This crochet wine cozy pattern is super simple and works up quickly too! Going on a wine tour? Make different colored wines cozies for everyone in your party. Got a bachelorette party coming up? Make a white cozy for the bride and cozies for the bridesmaids in their chosen dress color. You’d be surprised at how many ways you can use these versatile crochet wine cozies!
Last summer, I ordered some cork tags (to represent the wine bottle corks) and sewed them on to my cozies to sell in our local wineries. For instance, I live in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York where we have 100+ wineries. Wine tasting is a big thing up here and these wine cozies sell really well for me.
Additionally, you can whip up a bunch of these to sell at local markets, craft fairs and wineries/breweries!

Lanyard option (photo tutorials below):
Ch until it is about 30″ in length. After that, fold your cozy together and find a stitch on the other side that is exactly opposite of your starting ch for the strap. Next, attach your strap with a sl st (make sure you don’t twist it). Sl st into the sc to the right of where you attached your strap, ch 1, turn, sl st into ch closest to hook and in each ch back to the beginning. Lastly, sl st into sc that is to the left of the strap, fasten off and weave in ends.
CROCHET WINE LANYARD

HOW TO MAKE AND ATTACH THE STRAP:

I used different colors for the cozy and the strap so it’s easier to illustrate. You will start by chaining until it measures 29″. Fold your cozy in half and a find a stitch that is directly across from where you started chaining.

Insert your hook through the ch and sc

Yo and draw up a loop

Sl st into next sc to the right of your last sl st, then ch 1.

Now you will start working back up the strap. Find the first open ch closest to hook and make a sl st. Continue to sl st in each ch across until you get to the end.

Once you get to the end, you will make a sl st in the sc to the left of your starting ch of the strap. Fasten off and weave in ends.
I hope you enjoyed making this cute little wine glass cozy! These cozies are perfect to make for markets, craft fairs or just as gifts.
