Easy Crochet Heart Pattern
When my son was in Kindergarten, his class celebrated Valentine’s day the usual way – by passing out Valentine’s cards and candy to each classmate.
I wanted to send him to school with something unique and handmade. However, I am a busy person and didn’t want something that was going to consume all of my time.
So I went to work making these little crochet heart ornaments to slip into each card. These easy crochet hearts work up so quickly and in just a matter of a couple of hours, I had made enough of these little hearts for all of his classmates!

- Sl st to ring, pull the tail to close your heart, fasten off and weave in your ends.

Make a magic circle and ch 3.

Make 3 tr.

Make 2 dc.

Make 3 hdc.

Ch 3.

Sl st in the back bump of the 3rd ch from the hook (the very first ch you made)

Sl st in back bump continued.

Picot stitch made.

Make 3 hdc.

Make 2 dc.

Make 3 tr.

Sl st to ring, pull your tail to close your heart.
If you want to make these into ornaments, make an extra long tail when you make your magic ring. When you fasten off, make sure to keep that long as well. Tie up both ends together to create a loop. (This also saves you from having ends to weave in!)
