Modern Chevron Crochet Blanket

Modern Chevron Crochet Blanket – Free Pattern & Tutorial
The chevron stitch has been a classic in crochet for decades, loved for its timeless zigzag design. But for this Modern Chevron Crochet Blanket, I wanted to give it a little extra flair! That’s why I incorporated the harvest stitch, adding a subtle textured accent that makes this blanket even more special. You might remember the Harvest Blanket, where I first fell in love with this stitch—now, it’s making a comeback in this modern chevron design! The combination of these two stitches creates a beautiful, flowing pattern that is both eye-catching and incredibly relaxing to crochet.
This blanket is the perfect project to unwind with. It features a simple 1-row repeat, making it easy to work on while watching your favorite show or sipping a warm drink. Whether you’re a beginner looking for a confidence-boosting project or an experienced crocheter wanting a soothing make, this pattern is for you!
Choosing Colors for Your Chevron Blanket
For my version, I chose three colors to create a bold, modern contrast. But don’t feel limited to three—this pattern looks just as stunning in a single color for a sleek, sophisticated look or in multiple shades for a fun, playful vibe!
Yarn Choice – Heartland Worsted
I used Heartland worsted weight yarn, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! This yarn is one of my favorites because of the soft texture and beautiful color selection. The rich, earthy tones available in the Heartland line made it easy to create a warm, inviting palette that complements my mid-century modern inspiration. Plus, it’s easy to find and works up beautifully with great stitch definition!
