Mini Bobble Stitch Crochet Tutorial

THE MINI BOBBLE STITCH
This easy stitch is a combination of a single crochet and multiple chains. If you’re looking for a nicely textured stitch with that ‘scrubby’ factor then this is just what you’re looking for.
Additionally, this also makes a great border row to add a little extra detail to your crochet projects. I used this stitch on my mini bobble wine glass cozy and love how it turned out. You can find that pattern HERE.

Instructions for the Mini Bobble Stitch:
This tutorial is just for a practice swatch. However, if you’re a confident crocheter and want to just jump into making a project (dishcloth, scarf, etc.) then go for it!
Step 1: To start your practice swatch, ch 22. Then, make one sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn – ch 1 does not count as a st. (21 sc)

Step 2: Make one sc in the first st.

Step 3: Insert your hook into the next st and pull up a loop.

Step 4: Yo and pull through just the first loop on your hook. Repeat this step twice more for a total of three times. (You will have 2 loops left on your hook each time you complete this step.)

Step 5: You will now have 3 ch beneath your hook with 2 loops remaining on your hook.

Step 6: Yo one final time and this time you will pull through both loops on your hook to complete the stitch.

Step 7: Make one sc in the next st. This will make the mini bobble โpop outโ on the right side of your work.

Step 8: Now when you look at the right side, you will see your newly made mini bobble!

Step 9: Continue to repeat alternating one mini bobble and one sc all the way across ending with a sc in the last st. To continue your practice swatch, repeat the first and second rows – one sc row, one mini bobble row until your practice swatch is the desired size!

So what did you think? Pretty easy, huh?
