10 Adorable Amigurumi Patterns

Crochet Puppy Dog
This first pattern comes from Jen of Jen Hayes Creations. Not only is this puppy dog pattern absolutely adorable, but you can create either a short hair or a long-haired version as well. While Jen does warn us that adding the fur can take a while, she promises that it is well worth it! I mean just look at how cute this dog is! And even better, looping the yarn to create fur allows you to customize the colors of the dog as well. This is perfect for those wanting to create a toy version of their own dog. This pattern uses worsted weight yarn, which results in the dog measuring approximately 9 1/2 inches tall. However for a bigger stuffy you could use super bulky or blanket, yarn, how awesome would that look?

And speaking of super bulky yarn, let’s take a look at this giant shark pattern by Blackstone designs. What a fun toy this giant shark would make! He is the perfect cuddle size and because of his size could also be used as a pillow. Using chenille yarn is what makes him super soft and snuggly. This giant shark would be perfect in any child’s bedroom, playroom or even a classroom or library playroom. The finished measurements are a whopping 29 inches long and 33 inches in circumference.

No Sew Crochet Bunny Toy Free Pattern
This next pattern is from Veronica of Blue Star Crochet. I absolutely adore this darling rabbit, and the best part is he comes with his own sweater—how cute is that? Although I don't usually make Amigurumi, I'd be tempted to try this pattern because Veronica designed it to be no-sew. That sounds perfect to me. According to Veronica, you'll crochet this bunny in one continuous piece, starting from the feet and finishing at the ears. The only additional piece you'll need to make is his little sweater. Who wouldn't want to make that, considering how handsome he looks in it? Made with 100% worsted cotton yarn, he measures about 12.5 inches tall.

Strawbeary - Strawberry Bear - Free Crochet Pattern - Little World of Whimsy
Next up is this adorable strawberry teddy bear from Little World of Whimsy. This teddy bear is the cutest little thing, from the little flower on her ear to the bright red strawberry between her paws. I just love her. According to the designer, this pattern is quite straightforward for those experienced in making amigurumi. However, even as someone who has never really crocheted amigurumi before, I found the pattern to be very well-detailed. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, breaking down each part of the process into manageable sections. Whether you're making it as a gift or a keepsake, this strawberry teddy bear is sure to be cherished for years to come.

FREE AMIGURUMI CROCHET MOUSE PATTERN: Learn How to Make Amigurumi!
This next pattern comes from my good friend Elise of Elise Rose Crochet. She designed this adorably whimsical mouse with such attention to detail. This little mouse comes complete with shoes, socks, shorts, and even a tiny jacket—it seriously doesn't get any cuter than this! This pattern comes with very thorough written instructions complete with lots of photo tutorials as well as a full step-by-step video tutorial. Elise is undoubtedly one of my favorite amigurumi designers. She never skimps on the details, and every piece she creates is absolutely charming. Choosing just one pattern to share with you was tough, so I highly recommend visiting her YouTube channel to explore all of her other amazing designs.

3in1 Highland Cow Baby Blanket
This next pattern comes from Ariana of Crafting Happiness Handmade. This Highland cow pattern conveniently combines amigurumi with a blanket to create a snuggly, warm accessory perfect for babies and small children. Ariana didn't leave out any details. The blanket features a beautiful Celtic weave, and the cow includes longhorns, hair on top of its head, and even a tail. Who wouldn't want such an adorable and versatile blanket? I love that this blanket serves multiple purposes: it keeps your child warm, provides a stuffed toy for them to play with, and even doubles as a play mat, whether you're at home or on the go. Measuring 29" x 39" and made with acrylic DK weight yarn, this blanket is both practical and comforting.

Free Crochet Slug Pattern for Beginners: Step-by-Step Guide
The next pattern is by Stitch Sister Co. This snuggle slug friend, designed by Summer of Stitch Sister Co., is featured as a free pattern on A Crafty Concept's blog. This adorable snuggle slug is made with a combination of chenille yarn and faux fur yarn, creating a fun texture that makes it a great sensory toy for babies and young children. If you're looking for an easy and quick pattern to work up, this is it. Plus, since it's a small project, it's a fantastic way to use up leftover yarn from your stash. Although the pattern does not give a finished size, it does say that the body measures about 8 inches before you begin to make the head and eyes. This charming and practical project is perfect for making a cute and cuddly toy in no time.

Pattern: Fleece Teddy and Bunny
Next up is a pattern by Stephanie of All About Ami. This pattern offers an interchangeable design for a teddy bear and/or bunny. The only difference between them is the ears, allowing you to choose which one to make. While the written pattern doesn't specify the finished size, the photos suggest it's a jumbo, cuddle-sized stuffed toy. Made with Go For Faux Fleece Sherpa yarn, a number seven or jumbo weight yarn, this project is perfect for creating a plush, huggable toy. I appreciate how Stephanie includes not only photo tutorials but also diagrams for the correct placement of the eyes and nose. This makes it an excellent gift for baby showers or young children.

Mama Mabel Mod
This pattern comes from the blog Oak and Marlow and is perfect for all the chicken moms out there or anyone with friends who love chickens. It was tough to choose just one chicken pattern because they are all so adorable, but I settled on the Mabel chicken crochet pattern. Not only does she look super soft and cozy, but I also loved the simplicity of the design. This pattern actually includes a few different parts. There’s the Mabel chicken pattern, which is linked in the description of this video, and it also guides you to Mabel’s nest and her three little chicks. So make sure you check out this pattern and follow her links to the other parts so you can make an entire chicken family.

Amigurumi Goose
So this last pattern is not free it is a paid pattern on Etsy, but I just had to include it. Straw Animals offers the most adorable, whimsical cottagecore patterns, and I am absolutely in love with them. These geese are utterly charming, and the details are simply incredible. From their overalls with tiny buttons and crossbody bags with button closures to their scarves and little brimmed hats, nothing was overlooked! Yes, this is a paid pattern, but can you see why I had to include it? Although I’m not typically an amigurumi maker, these are exactly the kind of patterns that would inspire me to start.
I hope you enjoyed this collection of amigurumi patterns and found some inspiration for your next project. Let me know in the comments which pattern is your favorite and which ones you can see yourself working on. I’d love to hear from you!
